We are seeking a skilled and motivated Computer Operator to join our team. As a Computer Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our computer systems and networks. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, maintaining, and managing our computer systems and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor computer systems, servers, and network devices to ensure they are running efficiently and securely.
- Perform routine checks on hardware and software components to detect and resolve issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to computer systems, networks, and peripheral devices.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Collaborate with the IT team to install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
- Monitor system performance and report any anomalies to the appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of system operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing and updating documentation related to system operations and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Computer Operator or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with computer systems, network infrastructure, and peripheral devices.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant education is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
